The Organization/Location section is where you will find the official University’s authorization address for the proposal, as well as most of the sponsor-requested organizational data. This information does not require edits for most proposals, but allows for entry of additional performance sites, including subcontractor locations where the proposed sponsored project will occur.

Applicant Organization |
The official authorized applicant organization that will assume legal and financial responsibility for the award. The applicant organization, or grantee, is the organization or other entity that submits the proposal and receives the award assuming legal and financial responsibility and accountability both for the awarded funds and for the performance of the grant-supported activity. Click the direct inquiry icon to view the Organization Maintenance Document to see identifying information that is unique to the organization. |
Congressional Districts |
The U.S. Congressional district number of the applicant organization (e.g. SD-002). This field represents the "applicant" congressional district. The U.S. Congressional district number of the applicant organizational contact and the performing organizational contact. Each Congressional district is an area within a state from which a member of the U.S. House of Representatives is elected. There are 435 U.S. Congressional districts, each with a unique code. Congressional District format must be X-Y, where X is a two-letter state code and Y is between one and three digits. Y can also be 'all'. Special districts are US-all for nationwide, and 00-000 for non-US. Select a State, enter a District Number, and click the add button to add the district as a numbered line item. |
Performing Organization |
The location(s)/unit(s) where project effort will take place. This field is the name of the institution(s) in which the main project effort will take place. The organization where the majority of the proposed sponsored project will take place. Click the direct inquiry icon to view the Organization information, or click the lookup icon to search for and return a different organization value. |

Performance Site Locations |
The name assigned to the place(s) where work is being performed. This field is synonymous with "project site" or "performing site." It is used to identify all performance locations, internal or external to the proposing organization. The name of performing sites & locations where the proposed sponsored project will occur. Use the lookup/direct inquiry icon tools as desired to specify a location, then click the add button to add the location as a numbered line item. |
Other Organizations |
The name of performing organizations; collaborating institutions and subcontract locations where the proposed sponsored project will occur are commonly listed in this section. Use the lookup to select the desired physical location associated with each performing location. Click the lookup icon to search for and return additional organization values and then click add to add as a numbered line item in this subsection. |
