Sponsor ID

Required.  The unique identifier for the sponsor.  Enter the Sponsor ID into the box.  You can confirm the Sponsor ID you entered by clicking .  If you do not know the Sponsor ID, click  to find and select it.

Prime Sponsor ID

Optional.  A unique identifier of the prime sponsoring organization, which is the original funding source for the project.  Enter the Prime Sponsor ID into the box.  You can confirm the Prime Sponsor ID you entered by clicking . If you do not know the Prime Sponsor ID, click  to find and select it. 

Sponsor Deadline Date

Optional.  The date the proposal is due to the sponsoring agency.  Enter the Sponsor Deadline Date in MM/DD/YYYY format or select the Sponsor Deadline Date by clicking .

Notice of Opportunity

Optional.  The type of announcement.  Notices of Opportunity types are:

•      Federal Solicitation: Funding opportunity from a federal agency

•      Unsolicited: Proposal is not submitted in response to a published opportunity

•      Verbal Request for Proposal: Informal request for a proposal, usually from the sponsor directly to the PI

•      SBIR Solicitation: Small Business Innovation Research; a federal solicitation to a small business; universities play subaward roles for these items

•      STTR Solicitation: Small Business Technology Transfer; a federal solicitation to a small business; universities play subaward roles for these items

•      Non-Federal Solicitation: Funding opportunity from a non-federal source

•      Internal: Internal institutional opportunities, including small grants

Optional.  An indication of whether the proposal includes subawards to other institutions or entities.  Click   to indicate Yes.  Click  to clear the check box to indicate No.

CFDA Number

Optional.  A five-digit unique identifier for the sponsor and the funding opportunity announcement (FOA).  The first 2 digits identify the federal agency.  The last 3 digits identify the specific federal program.  Enter the CFDA Number into the box.

Sponsor Proposal ID

Optional.  The unique identifier defined by the sponsor for the proposal.   Enter the Sponsor Proposal ID into the box.

NSF Science Code

Conditionally required.  Required for National Science Foundation (NSF) system-to- system (S2S) www.grants.gov submissions.  May be required by your institution for all sponsors and for non-S2S submissions.  An identifier for the type of research activity, as defined by the NSF.  Click  to select an NSF Science Code.

Sponsor Deadline Type

Optional.  The type of proposal deadline established by the sponsor.  Sponsor Deadline Types are:

•      Postmark: The proposal envelope must be postmarked by the submission deadline.

•      Receipt: The proposal must be received by the sponsor by the submission deadline.

•      Target: The proposal should be submitted by a certain date to be included in the sponsor’s review cycle, but proposals received after that date will still be reviewed.

Anticipated Award Type
