Assign Reviewers

The Assign Reviewers action retrieves active members of the IRB committee selected and displays them for the administrator to make primary/secondary reviewer assignments. For full board review protocols, the Assign Reviewers action becomes available after committee and schedule are selected. For expedited review protocols, the Assign Reviewers becomes available after the committee is selected.

Action attributes	Description
Who can perform action	IRB Administrators are allowed to perform this action.
Protocol state prior to action	Prior to the action, the protocol must be in the following state: The protocol must have been assigned to a committee and schedule. The protocol status must be Submitted to IRB. The submission status must be Submitted to Committee or In agenda.
Protocol state after action	After the action is performed the protocol status and submission status does not change.

Field	Description
Reviewers	Select the desired name(s) from the list of available Reviewers, and for each, select either primary or secondary. Click within the checkbox to select the item. A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected. Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item. Use the drop-down menu by clicking the down arrow to display the list, and then click on an item in the list to highlight and select it to populate the box with your selection. The available Reviewer Types are modified via the Protocol Reviewer Type maintenance document.
submit	Click the submit button to generate the action request.
