Question Category

 

 

The Question Category maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values that are stored in database tables to represent searchable information that is referenced and/or made available for selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs.  It is typically used to name a group that represents a functional module of the KC system.  These groups are then used to create and assign questions to for use in Questionnaires that are displayed in documents that are a part of those modules.  Question Categories are assigned when you create/modify Questions.

Edit Question Category Section

The Edit Question Category section of the Question Category maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Description

Category Type Code

Enter a short value to uniquely represent the question category type in the system.  Click within the text box to relocate the cursor to the field, and then type (or paste from virtual clipboard) to enter text in the box as necessary to provide the appropriate information.

Category Name

Enter a textual name for the question category type as it is commonly referred to.  Click within the text box (or press the tab  key from a previous field) to relocate the cursor to the field, and then type (or paste from virtual clipboard) to enter text in the box as necessary to provide the appropriate information.  Click the add note  icon to view/edit/paste text in a new browser window, then click the continue button to return to the text entry field in the document.  After saved, click the green arrow  symbol to view full text in a separate browser window.
